Biography

Nirav D. Mehta is a distinguished Assistant Professor in the Power Electronics Department at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Chandkheda, operating under the Department of Technical Education (GES CL. II), Government of Gujarat.

Mr. Mehta's academic journey is marked by excellence. He earned his B.E. in Power Electronics from L.E. College, Morbi (Saurashtra University, Rajkot) in 2000. He further pursued his M. Tech in Electrical (Power Apparatus and Systems) from Nirma University of Science and Technology, Ahmedabad, completing it in 2008 with a prestigious Gold Medal for Best Student in Electrical Engineering.

With 4 years of valuable industry experience, Mr. Mehta transitioned into academia in June 2004. He is a prolific researcher, having authored 10 national and 15 international papers in his areas of expertise. Furthermore, he holds two granted patents, underscoring his innovative contributions.

Mr. Mehta's professional affiliations include life memberships with the Indian Society for Technical Education (LM 48157) and IETE, both since 2006. His diverse fields of interest encompass Power Electronics, Power Electronics applications to Power Systems, Power Quality Improvement, Energy Conservation & Management, and Power Electronics Converters for Electrical Vehicles.
