There has been plenty of time for me to read. I hope you're doing the same! Below are all the books I've read since mid-March. My current favorite is at the top with a description.

It's 2002, just a year after terrorist organization al-Qaeda's September 11 attacks on the United States. The main character, Shirin, is a 16-year-old Muslim girl who bravely wears a hijab each day. Her family moves a lot. She's on school number 12. Regardless of the fact that she was born in the US, she has endured a great deal of stereotyping, discrimination and even violence in her life. So much so that that she shuts most people out of her life. It makes easier to shut people out when you barely have time to get to know them. Then she meets very persistent Ocean James. And she starts to feel something she's never felt before. She quietly, hesitantly lets him into her world. She wants to keep it quiet because she knows how hard it will be for Ocean, who is the school's basketball golden boy. Ocean doesn't want to keep it quiet though and he finally convinces Shirin to let him drive her to school. As they get out of the car and start walking through the parking lot holding hands everyone goes quiet. What happens in the next couple of weeks is exactly what Shirin knew would happen, and something she knew Ocean wouldn't be prepared for.
