The VCSD Device & AI Task Force:
Reviews research related to the impact of smartphones on students’ mental health, social relationships, academic growth, and digital citizenship.
Based on the research above, makes recommendations for adjustments to VCSD policies, student handbooks, and/or internal protocols.
Explores the potential impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on K-12 schooling.
Makes recommendations for professional learning, curriculum development, and/or policies and protocols related to AI.
Katie Greer
Katie Greer’s presentation has been rescheduled to March 27, 2024, at the African Road Auditorium from 6:30 to 7:30. Following her talk, there will be desserts and activities focused on phone security features, with local mental health and community organizations providing resources.
Katie Greer is a renowned internet safety expert, she brings a wealth of experience from working with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police. We extend this invitation to attend to any K-12 parent!
