A purpose-driven virtual course access program designed to serve Missouri students. Launch is based in Springfield Public Schools and partners with school districts statewide to offer students access to Launch virtual courses.

All Launch courses are built by curriculum specialists, teachers and digital developers and are aligned to Missouri Learning Standards. Each Launch course is taught by a highly qualified Missouri educator. If your student is a Launch student, they will follow the Springfield Public Schools District calendar.

Launch keeps track of assignments turned in. When students are not active and turning in assignments after 5 days, parents will receive a message from Launch. If not active and turning in assignments after 10 days, parents will receive another message. If not active and turning in assignments after 15 days, parents will receive another message. All parents will receive a "Parent Observer" account. It is important that the parent takes an active role in ensuring their student is sticking with their assigned schedule and completing assignments.

If you need a device for your student to use while participating in the virtual program via Launch, the Morgan County R-II School District will provide a Chromebook for your student to utilize. You will need to register to utilize the Chromebook and pay an insurance fee online. Then, we will schedule a time for you to pick up that device at the appropriate building level of your student. The link to "Enroll Device" is on the district website home page, under the "Quick Links" section.

6 hours daily teacher-supported programming, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Scheduled daily live conferencing in both whole group and small group instruction
Independent work time following teacher instructions/lessons

Hands-on assignments, adaptive software, whole group instruction and discussion, small group individualized instruction

Certified teachers and school counselor for both academic and social-emotional support
We encourage parents/guardians to be available to redirect and assist their children when needed. Certified Missouri teachers will be available for your child so please communicate with their teacher via Canvas if you or your child are needing more assistance. Launch courses use the same school calendar as Springfield Public Schools. The first day of school is August 24!
