Our Spaces

Our common area serves as a meeting for our entire school community. With areas for both individual and collaborative work; students and staff can work on homework, get assistance, or sit down and read. Our common area is open before and after school, as well as open for study halls and during lunch unless otherwise noted.

A designated space for both classes and larger meetings, our classroom space serves as an area for both formal and informal lessons, as well as staff and student meetings. From club gatherings, research project lessons, and PD space, our classroom is available for student groups, classes, as well as staff members on a reservation basis.

A student-lead studio, the MakerSpace is a room in the LC equipped with 3 iMacs, sound and video recording and editing tools, a TV and green screen, Maker supplies and kits, as well as other school supplies for projects. All students and classes are welcome to reserve the space. If you are a student that wishes to use the MakerSpace for a project, please complete the following approval form.

The VHS Learning Commons houses the LC Cafe, a VHS Student Council run shop that sells coffee and other refreshments. Students may purchase from the LC cafe during study and lunch when a volunteer is available. Please see Mr. Thai or Student Council if you are interested in volunteering.

The circulation counter at the Learning Commons is the reference center of our space. Stop by to checkout books and chromebooks, reserve the space, or ask reference and technology questions. Either Ms. Malespina or any of our library volunteers are here to assist you.
