About Ms. Maier~

Hello and welcome to my site! I am the health and physical education teacher at Forest Avenue School in Verona, New Jersey. I also teach health at Laning Avenue School every Friday. I started my teaching career in 2014 and have been lucky enough to now teach within the Verona Public School system. This is my third year at Forest Avenue School and I am very proud to be part of our school and Verona community. I played all sports growing up, with softball being my main one. I was a pitcher throughout my entire softball playing experience. I knew I wanted to be involved with sports as a career and I truly enjoy kids which is why I do what I do and love it! I absolutely love the elementary level of teaching where physical education is taught in a colorful, fun,  and vivacious environment. Each of my lessons are carefully thought out and prepared with what I feel will be successful in your child's physical education learning environment. I strive for my students to learn about the benefits of an active lifestyle by integrating fun, interactive, motivating and collaborative sports and activities on a consistent basis. Seeing my students smile when they enter and exit the gym is my goal. I look forward to many great days ahead with these wonderful children.
