Verdant Ideals

Verdant Ideals is a soft landscaping, gardening and garden design business set up in 2023 in the LS13 postcode of Leeds. At the heart of the business is the ability to execute all tasks and contracts with the utmost care and attention, whilst meeting our customer's needs and requirements both respectfully and professionally. When we complete work we will give both you and your property the care deserved, and we will strive to make you comfortable at every stage.

As a new business we recognise that, compared to other local contractors, we may be lacking in some advanced skills and experience. However, we hope to make up for this by ensuring all contact and work completed is as stress-free and as simple as possible. We recognise that many established businesses may be able to complete large jobs faster than us. However, we know that plans can change. Our more considered approach is to ensure you are incorporated into every stage of the work we complete. This is not an issue for us; it is why we exist. 

Garden design is an organic process, and we value the fact that as work progresses, your vision of how you wish it to be completed may change. As a business we always hope that by the end of the project, you have felt in control of how the work has progressed and your concerns have been addressed. We want you to have a garden that makes you proud.

It is my personal interest in both customer service and love of outdoor spaces that has led me to create a business to combine both of these passions. 

With a seasoned background in pub management and customer service I have extensive experience in dealing with customers and clients ensuring their needs and expectations are always met. I am more than comfortable dealing with high-stress situations and completing tasks within budget and on time.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time in my garden completing tasks. This has ranged from, building retaining walls of both brick and dry stone; constructing fences, furniture and stairs; to plant care, maintenance and final touches. researching this passion hasDuring this I have worked on flat and sloped gardens, giving me an understanding of how a gradient can greatly effect the design and final product of different outdoor spaces.

Even though I am new to this trade, I have the knowledge of how to care for a wide variety of plants, grasses, shrubs, and trees. This combined with training in the most current theories of construction methods and garden design, has provided me with the toolset to easily compete with other, more established businesses.
