Badge Program

PD badges for technology are stratified based on the SAMR level at which the skill is implemented. For example, it is possible to earn a Google Docs badge at any SAMR level, it all depends on the how you implement Google docs in your classroom. See below for important details that are specific to instructional technology badges.

Once you understand the program, head over to the Instructional Technology Badges page to learn how to earn specific badges.

Start with SAMR

Before you can earn any other instructional technology badges, you need to have a firm understanding of SAMR, which is a framework for understanding incorporating technology into instruction. SAMR is a spectrum that includes Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition levels of teaching with technology. Understanding SAMR helps you better understand how to apply technology to learning. Once you have completed the SAMR framework, you can earn any badge you choose.
