We are Venture Crew 820, a division of Boy Scouts of America for young men and young women ages 14 to 20.

This particular Crew was established in 1993 by PADI Instructor Dave Speer. Bob Woodberry, PADI Dive Master, and Emily Woodberry, PADI Instructor, joined the ranks as Assistant Advisors in 1997. Ann Speer, who is also a PADI Instructor, joined the group as an Assistant Advisor after she and Dave were married in 1998.

We meet at Crossroads United Church of Christ, 1591 2436 Croton Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935 on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm for a one hour meeting to plan our trips and fund raisers.

Dave Kneessy is our current Advisor. Dave Speer is our current Committee Chair. Bob Ferrell is our Safety Officer. Dave and Ann Speer are our dive instructors. Many others help out.

The main objective of this group is to give youth the opportunity to SCUBA dive in a well managed, safe environment. We dive at least once a month. In the winter, we dive the Florida Springs. In the summer, we do beach dives and West Palm drift dives.
