Your student will be cared about. I value their ideas, thoughts and actions. They all have unique talents and strengths and I can't wait for them to share them with me and their classmates. I will do everything I can to make my class one of their favorites of their school year.

I try to encourage my students to become self advocates and talk to me if they have a question or concern. I would like him/her to arrange to speak to me at a convenient time. (Before school, nutrition break, lunch and after school.) If it is easier and more comfortable, they may also email me. There will naturally be times when situations arise where adult to adult contact will be needed. In those cases, emailing me is the best form of communication. Please use my school email, kristin.pekar@venturausd.org, if/when you need to contact me. I have that open during the school day and it is the fastest way to get a response. Please do not use Remind as a way to communicate as I do not get notifications when there is a message. Also, please refrain from using my Google mail. I don't tend to check that mail as often as my school account. A voicemail is also an option but I usually am unable to return phone calls until after school. If a face to face meeting is needed, you can find me out by the flagpole each morning. I am a morning supervisor and having a quick chat can be a great way to talk. I look forward to a great year with your students.
