I am an experienced and registered Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping individuals regain their independence and quality of life after life-altering events. I hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (B.Occ) from the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa, and I am proudly registered with the Occupational Therapy Association of South Africa (OTASA) and the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). HPCSA details can be made available on request.
My inspiration for pursuing this field comes from witnessing the profound impact therapy can have on a person’s recovery, particularly as they work to return to daily routines and achieve a sense of normalcy. My approach is rooted in a patient-centered and diagnosis-focused methodology, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
My interests are in treating a wide range of conditions, including vascular disorders, infections, trauma, structural and neuromuscular disorders, as well as degenerative conditions. My goal is to empower my patients by providing tailored interventions that address both their physical and emotional needs, promoting long-term recovery and improved functional outcomes.
