brainstorming 

This project was to help us Understand and implement storytelling techniques in audio and visual formats, Gain experience in abstracting stories in a visual sense and Employing the editor's sense to match visuals to the narration in a timely manner

Pre-production

We were struggling at first to choose a movie but we finally decided to choose one of the harry Potter movies. Then, we started planning on how to create it.

We decided to laser cut the title of the movie using the helix laser cutter on mdf.

After that, we decided to stick 3 layers of the harry potter font to make it thicker and make it more three-dimensional

We used cotton to make a cloud for our base on which we placed our title on.We used led lights and placed them under the cotton to make it look vibrant and give them the thunder effect

Using a camera with tripod was hard for us because we couldnt get the right angles and shots we wanted due to how big it was and when we tried it without a tripod it appeared to be shaky and kept on flickering.

Then, we switched to recording with a phone which was much easier and gave the same quality.

For the set up, we used a clear sheet and stuck the cotton on it with led lights at the back and pinned it on the wall. It was easier to film it that way but the issue was that we lost the depth of it.Instead we laid it flat on a table and added some more cotton at the back to give it more depth

reflection

In this project we learned about use of lights and shadows. We learned how to film considering depth and perspective. We improved ourselves in using Adobe Premier Pro.
