Title: Dynamics of localized spotty vegetation patterns in a two-dimensional Klausmeier model

Abstract. We investigate vegetation spot patterns in a Klausmeier reaction-diffusion system. By exploiting the multiscale nature of the problem, we develop a hybrid asymptotic-numerical theory for the quasi-equilibrium, dynamics, and stability of the localized spot patterns. Our theory will be demonstrated throughout the talk with examples and numerical simulations.
