How many performance are included? Arts Alive is typically 17-20 performances. There is a place "reserved" for each school (as long as they have a qualified performer) and VCMS and VCHS have a place held for each program at their school (band, chorus, theatre) as long as their are qualified performers. Quality of performers is key...Arts Alive is a showcase and all performances must be prepared in advance.
Do I have to audition to perform? Yes. Arts Alive is not a walk up talent show, but a talent showcase of prepared performances. Auditions are held in January. Students must be selected to perform - auditioning does not guarantee performing.
Is Tech. Night required? Yes, for all performers
Is a permission form required? Yes, for any performer or student artist. Filling out a permission form does not guarantee that a student will be in Arts Alive. It simply grants permission.
Is there a cost for Arts Alive? No. Admission to Arts Alive activities is completely free.
