Welcome to 2nd grade!  

I am very excited to be your 2nd grade teacher this year.  I live in Valley Center with my husband and three children, ages 11, 14, and 16.  All of us are a part of the VCPUSD family!  I have a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Education.  I have been teaching in grades K-4 since 2003.  I spend my spare time outdoors with my 4 dogs, horse, and miniature donkey, and camping with the family.  We love to go to the desert, the beach, and boating/wakeboarding.  

I believe in a classroom environment that is inclusive and respectful of all students, no matter what.  I strive to give my students a rigorous and fun learning adventure that enables each child to work at a pace that promotes success.  My goal is for every individual to feel happy, safe, and valued in my class as they take on new challenges this year.
