Hello Families, 

     My name is Kali Melendez and I will be your child’s 5th Grade Dual Language teacher this year. I attended Kindergarten through High School in Valley Center. I am thrilled to be teaching at the same school I attended as a young scholar. I have an AA in Education from Palomar College. I received my Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies (Summa Cum Laude) and Bilingual Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, San Marcos. 

I love being in the classroom, teaching, and supporting students. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy reading, hiking, swimming, and traveling. I am excited for all the learning we will do this year. I can’t wait to learn more about you and your students!
