Welcome to 5th  grade!  

Hello! My name is Jaime Parker (Shuford) and I will be your child's teacher this year. I am so excited for another year full of learning!

This is my 21st year teaching for Valley Center-Pauma School District and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else! I grew up in Valley Center and attended Valley Center Elementary and Valley Center Middle School. My experience in Valley Center as a child is why I decided to be a teacher.  I graduated with my Bachelors in Liberal Studies and minors in English and Social Science from San Diego State University. I attended CSUSM's teacher credential program.  

I began my teaching career teaching 7th/8th grade at Pauma School. I then taught grades K-8 at VCPUSD's one-room school house on Palomar Mountain. I have spent a majority of my years teaching grades 3rd-6th at Lilac and Pauma Schools. I am happily in my 10th year at Lilac School teaching fifth grade.  

I live in Valley Center with my husband and three children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to new places, sports, camping, going to the beach, reading and cooking.
