Assessment for Language Arts: Students will be engaged in the learning process by:

•  Individual and group exploration and research

• Class lectures and discussions

•  Oral presentations

•  Written compositions, in the form of arguments, informative/explanatory and narratives

•  Reading: literature circles, independent, partner, group, and whole-class reading instruction
