Founded in 2010, Leading Edge Certification was created by a national Alliance of nonprofits, universities, and educational agencies from the worlds of K12 education, higher education, and governmental agencies who all share in the commitment to advance student achievement. We saw a unique opportunity to fill a need that hadn’t yet been filled: to provide a national certification program specifically for 21st Century education professionals in educational technology and curriculum innovation.

Launched in 2019, LEC Flex was designed to provide educators access to updated content through a flexible, self-guided learning platform allowing for opportunities to engage anytime and anywhere.
