This week's main takeaways are:
Welcome to exam week! Study hard and do your best so you can enjoy your Christmas holidays. Exam details included below. Please note that there is no aftercare or after-school makeups this week.
As we celebrate the end of another blessed year, we are grateful for the families and friends whose generosity and support continue to strengthen Vandebilt Catholic and its mission. Earlier this week we mailed letters with information on the Vandebilt Catholic Annual Fund. If you are considering a year-end gift, we hope you will keep Vandebilt Catholic in mind. Online donations can be made here.
In Christ,
Dr. LeBoeuf
We will still have our regular morning events this week at 7:20 a.m. each day:
Monday: Rosary
Wednesday - Friday: Daily Mass
☐ [repeat] Scheduling for the 2026-2027 school year will begin in January 2026 after Christmas break. Parents will need to access their Parent plus portals account to complete scheduling forms with their student. If you do not have an active parent plus portals account, please email wgabriel@htdiocese.org to activate it.
Please note that there is no aftercare or after-school makeups this week. Students may take make ups during their lunch period exam or speak to their counselor about scheduling make ups.
As we have cold weather forecasted this week, please review the reminder about our cold weather uniform policies from our handbook.
During extreme cold weather, unofficial heavy coats are only allowed outside the school building. Once inside the school building, only the regularly approved outer garments may be worn.
During cold weather, tights are permitted. Colors must be solid navy blue, white, gray, or black. Tights may not have any logos.
Tech reminders:
Our daily loaner program is intended to provide students with a Chromebook that he/she may have forgotten at home or the device isn't charged. It is not meant to be used long term as an option to replace a damaged one.
Students are required to have a fully functional, touchscreen, stylus compatible Chromebook charged each day he/she comes to school.
When you purchase a new Chromebook, there is an additional $35 fee for a Google Education License. Google no longer allows us to switch licenses from one device to another.
VCHS offers Chromebook packages which include a stylus, ruggedized protective case, fast charger, Google License and a warranty.
If a student parks on campus, a parking permit is required. Beginning after the Christmas holidays, parking permit prices will be reduced to $30.00. Use the coupon code HALFYEAR when purchasing permits through PlusPortals. If check or cash is brought to school, no coupon code is necessary. If a student parks illegally on campus, he/she will be issued a Saturday school detention.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure all of our students are in proper dress code daily. As we enter the second semester, please make sure skirts are of official school length, pants fit properly and have the VC logo, and shirts have pockets with the VC logo visible. In addition, school shoes must be worn properly every day. Thank you again for your cooperation.
