Assessment Makeup Reminders:
Now that we’re into the 2nd quarter, it’s a great time to review our makeup assessment policy (on p. 47 of the handbook).
Key Details to Review:
If a student checks in late, checks out and returns, or misses part of the school day but is present at the end of the day, he/she is expected to make up any missed assessments that same day — in the makeup room either during lunch or after school. This includes if a student is dismissed for a Pep Rally.
Students who miss only the day before a scheduled test or quiz are required to take the assessment with their class as planned.
Before returning to school after an absence, students are encouraged to check PlusPortals and the Week at a Glance for each class missed. This helps them know what assignments or assessments may need to be made up upon return.
Thank you for helping us maintain consistency and accountability in student learning!
Thank you for partnering with us in ensuring students are adhering to the uniform policy daily. Please remember that uniform violations restart at the beginning of the 2nd semester.
[repeat] Any time we have a pep rally schedule, seniors who have work at 8th period will be dismissed at 1:39 p.m., but we invite and encourage them to stay for the pep rally. If they would like to do that, they may report to the Kolb at 8th hour and wait until the pep rally begins.
