We are gearing up for the next VPAA Europe Trip in Summer of 2026! Check out the information on our interest meeting and RSVP for more info. Please note that this is a 15 day trip!

Snap! Raise - Fundraiser

Update...

We are LAST in the rankings for money made! Dance has earned over $10,000 from this one low-effort fundraiser! If you haven't already signed up and sent off the email requests please do so! A little goes a long way and keeps us from having to do lots of little fundraisers all the time :-)

VPAA Visual Arts Awards

At the 60th Annual Ocean View Art Show...

Salem’s VPAA Visual Art students won 5 out of the 6 HS awards!!!

The Award of Merit - Maelynn Hastings - Painting “Unfortunate Friendship”
The Honorable Mention - Viloet Warren - Sculpture “Eden”
Third Place - Fatima Huezo-Menendez - Oil Painting “Rooted in Guilt”
Second Place - Miley Simmon's - Scratchboard “Ms. Bumble & Flower”
Best in Show - Vincent Glasgow- Mixed Media Painting titled “Anarchism”

Congratulations to all the award winners of this years Ocean View Student Art Show!

BEST IN SHOW @ Neptune!

In the 11-12th grade Category - Taylor Hitt, Emily Custer, and Makaila Kincaid were all awarded honorable mentions!

For the 9-10th grade category- Jeremiah Ridley, Bella Bryant, and Emily Heijermans were awarded honorable mentions while

3rd Place went to Vincent Glasgow, 2nd Place went to Michael Bay, and 1st Place went to Sylvia Hayes!

The People’s Choice award went to freshmen Bella Milburn

and last but certainly not least the prestigious BEST IN SHOW was awarded to Junior VPAA Student - Fatima Huezo Menendez!

We created a VPAA Visual Arts BAND group for parent/student communication. You can access via the web, phone, or the download the app. This links to our calendar of events, allows us to push reminders to everyone for upcoming events, and provides a secure communication platform for all of us.

Please take the time and join with your students, families, and guardians who need to stay in the know!!! If you are joining with a name different from what we know or adding a member not on our list, PLEASE email Erin Richburg or Melissa Schappell for access and approval to our group.
