Welcome to our webpage! I am teaching the English side of your child’s 3^rd grade year. Senora Rodriguez and I will be spending more time with your child in the upcoming school year than any other adults. Because of this, I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about myself - both personally and professionally.

I was born and raised in a small town in the Virginia part of the Eastern Shore. I received my B.A. degree in Elementary Education from Virginia Wesleyan College. I have taught either second or third grade in Virginia Beach Public Schools for the past thirty-six years. I have one daughter, Kelsey, who is 31.

This school year is going to be an exciting one. I will continue to use higher level thinking skills to help children organize their ideas and work as a team in the classroom. I am planning some fun and exciting activities for the school year.

Parents are the most important people in a child’s life, and we need to work together for the benefit of your child. I need you to support our academic, homework, and discipline efforts here at school. In return, I will keep you informed about all aspects of your child’s experiences at school.

With school and home working together, I know that each and every student can have his or her most successful school year yet.
