Growth Mindset

"...students’ mindsets—how they perceive their abilities—played a key role in their motivation and achievement, and we found that if we changed students’ mindsets, we could boost their achievement."

-Carol Dweck Professor and Researcher at Stanford University

Does your child have a "growth mindset"? Our goal as a first grade community in room 9 is for each child to develop a GROWTH MINDSET this year and actively use that phrase. It is so important that children know that they are capable of making improvements and that starts with them saying "I can't do this...yet" instead of "I can't"
