Cost of Race (See packages below): Please note we are non profit organizations and all proceeds will directly benefit CHKD.  If you would like to make additional donations to the hospital, on our registration site we have an opportunity for anyone to make donations directly to the CHKD. All donations will go into one account and we will provide one giant check at the end to the hospital. We are hoping to raise over $25,000 for CHKD. Donations can be made by anyone at anytime, racers and/or non racers. We will have a One Mile option that is open to EVERYONE.

Anyone that would like to register as a team, when you register there is an opportunity to inlude your Team Name. We will keep the packets together and have a Team Check In option on race day. 

Love Run Packages

Registration is due January 26th (to be guaranteed a race shirt) Same day registration is permitted but we can not gurantee a shirt. 

Nothing but Love Package:  $ 15.00

Virtual Goodie Bag (vouchers and coupons from sponsors), Downloadable Race Bib, and Access to our All About Love Apple Music/Spotify playlist

Love Run 5K Package:  $ 30.00 (virtual or in person)

Virtual Goodie Bag  (vouchers and coupons from sponsors), Love Sticker, Race Bib, Access to our All About Love Apple Music/Spotify playlist, Finisher Ribbon and Shirt. We will send out information closer to race date about a packet pick up date. You can pick up your package early or on race day.  

Mail Me Love Package: $ 40.00 Price includes a $10.00 postage fee.  Your package will be mailed to you following the event.

Includes everything from the Love Run Package **Please only select this option if you need your race swag mailed to you**

Option Two: Donations can also be mailed to Princess Anne High School (Attn. Devon Curtis / Love Run) for any amount or through our registration site (click here).  Online donations can be made in the following increments:

**Anyone can do the 5K and/or choose the One Mile option**

Race Date/Location: February 10th, 2024 Thalia Elementary School (412 Thalia Road Virginia Beach, VA 23452); registration will be in the cafeteria (entrance closest to the start line)

Registration Time: 8am to 8:45am in school parking lot (can pick up race packet or sign up for the race during this time, please note-shirts are NOT guaranteed to any participant who signs up on race day). Any and all shirts will be sold to same day registrants so we can no longer hold onto shirts after the race (please have someone pick up your shirt in advance).

Same Day Registration: Same Day Race registration will be $25 which will include a bib and race shirt if available (please note-shirts are NOT guaranteed to any participant who sign up after January 26). 

Packet Pick Up: we will offer a early packet pick up time and will provide details ASAP

Race Information:  We will allow competitive racers to go first, then the second heat of the race Feel free to walk, run, skate, ride, the possibilities are endless! The race is stroller friendly, dog friendly and family friendly! 

Race Start Time: 5k starts at 9am, 1 mile starts at 9:30am, PA/Cox/Kellam Buddy Run starts at 9:40am 

What to Bring: Money for Raffles and Vendors. We CAN NOT accept any electronic payments (cash or check please). We have great vendors who will be attending our event and have LOTS of gift certificates to raffle off.  Race is family, stroller, and dog friendly. We are collecting new items for CHKD and their child life programs. Here is a list of requested items (click here). Each item will get you free raffle tickets!! 

Timing:  Unofficial Timing

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded for race placements and various superlatives (ex. best costume, most spirited runner/walker, best mode of transportation, etc.). Please dress up in your best Valentine's Day costume and compete for the Best Costume prize! We love to see family pets dressed up as well!

Medals given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd winners who did self timing in each category: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and above

Parking: Parking will be available at Princess Anne High School and at Thalia Elementary School.

• We will have a bus run from PA to Thalia at 8:15, 8:30, and 8:45. 

• The bus will go from Thalia to PA 10:15, 10:45, and 11:15.

Spaces are limited at Thalia Elementary, it is recommended that participants park at Princess Anne HS, carpool or ride their bikes to the race.

Friends and Family, near and far..log your 5K anytime between January 26, 2024 to February 10, 2024. All ages and species are invited to help spread love. Feel free to walk, run, skate or ride. The possibilities are endless! You can do a little at a time or do it all in one day. The goal is to help raise money for an amazing organization and to help spread love throughout your community. 

How to spread love while racing: While you log your miles, please post your pictures here . We invite you wear costumes to bring cheer as you pass by people. If you are a past love run racer, we would LOVE for you to wear your old race shirts to help us promote the event! We also invite you to write positive messages on sidewalks as you pass them on your journey. Help us spread love across this nation in honor of those who have lost their lives, are fighting for their lives, or just for those who are happy to be alive.

Virtual Race Packet includes shipping and handling of your items.  The virtual race packet is not guaranteed to reach you by the day of the race.
