Rising Kindergarten through 6th grade students will engage in learning new skills for each of the four gymnastics events. They will work on balance,  strength, endurance, and flexibility. Students should bring a non-perishable snack or bag lunch daily. After snack time, we will engage in arts and crafts,  activities, and collaborative games.

This camp will be offered to rising 2nd-8th graders who are cheerleaders or interested in cheer. Campers will get to spend the week our wonderful KHS Cheerleaders. They will get to learn all cheer fundamentals! We will work on jumps, stunts, tumbling, cheers, and a dance. 

9am-1pm daily. Maximum of 75 campers. $125  per camper plus plus payment platform service fee.

Students will be offered the opportunity to participate in a Performing Arts Camp at Kempsville High School at no cost to students. The camp is designed for new students and for students currently enrolled in Orchestra. Students must register to participate in this seven-day camp. There will be two levels of camp: Level One - for beginning students and students with only one year of experience and Level Two - for more experienced students. All classes will focus on a wide variety of literature and techniques. Students will participate in a culminating activity or ensemble performance on the final day of camp. Students are expected to provide their own instruments and accessories. Contact your local music store for information on instrument rentals. If this is not an option, please contact Mrs. Goodloe. All other materials will be provided to students. Orchestra camp is open to 6th-12 grade students.

Level 1: 9:30-10:30 daily. Level II 11am- 12pm daily. Maximum of 60 campers. No cost.

 A fundamental camp that will teach the basics of field hockey, what it means to be a team player, and a good citizen. Field Hockey Camp is open to campers ages 7-14. Campers need to provide their own mouth guards and shin guards and should wear tennis shoes or cleats.

8am-12pm daily. Maximum of 60 campers.  $125 per camper plus payment platform service fee.

Rising 5th-9th grade Learn the basics of lacrosse, no experience is necessary. Boys and Girls will learn how to pass, catch, cradle and shoot through lots of fun drills, mini games and actual games. Campers should wear athletic wear as well as bring a full water bottle. All sticks and balls will be provided.  

9am- 1pm daily. Maximum of 25 Campers. $40 per camper plus payment platform service fee.

This class, for students ages 7-12, offers hands-on learning in a safe environment that encourages discovery and creativity with baked goods. Bakers will learn about preparing and decorating baked goods (cakes, cupcakes, cookies, rolls, cultural bread, pastries, pies). Kitchen safety, etiquette, menu planning, table setting, nutrition, kitchen measurement, and kitchen utensils will be practiced during this course. Students should wear close toed shoes, have a hair tie for those with longer hair and a water bottle. 

9am- 12:30pm daily

The Maker Camp is a summer camp program for rising 3rd-8th grade students featuring highly engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Your child will learn about entrepreneurship through a focus on crafting, technology, and maker activities. Students will be working in our makerspace and can enjoy sessions on topics such as 3D printing, electronics, design, and more.   

8:00-12:00  daily. Maximum of 40 campers. $100 per camper plus payment platform service fee.

Rising 6th- 8th grade campers included in the Virginia Wildlife Identification will learn how to identify local Virginia plants and animals (birds, mammals, marine organisms, etc.) as well as understand the general importance of local systems such as the Chesapeake Bay, the Great Dismal Swamp, and others through interactive and thought provoking activities. Campers should feel free to bring light snacks, a notebook, writing utensils, comfortable clothes and shoes for occasional outdoor lessons.

9:00am- 1:00pm  daily. Maximum of 15 campers. $20 per camper plus payment platform service fee.
