2024-2025 KHS SCA Application

ALL students are welcome to join the SCA.  The SCA plans most of our school-wide events and spirit weeks throughout the year, including the Homecoming Dance, Student-Faculty Basketball, Pep Rallies, and more! Students may join as a general assembly member to serve on a committee to help plan these events. If you are looking for a more involved leadership role, you can apply to be a part of our Executive Board as a committee chairperson. Contact Mrs. Windley (Chelsea.Windley@vbschools.com) or Mrs. Duran (Kelly.Swanner@vbschools.com) if you have questions.

Applications for membership in the 2024-2025 SCA General Assembly are now open at this link.

Leadership Workshop Sponsorship Opportunity

Donate to this wonderful program here!

The Kempsville High School Leadership Workshop program has been training student leaders for over 20 years. This invaluable program is integral to the culture and community of Kempsville High School. Its impact is seen and felt in our classrooms, athletic programs, and student organizations. Alumni of the program apply the skills they learn long after graduation from KHS.

This event is held annually at Triple-R Ranch in Chesapeake, VA. Delegates stay at Triple-R for the entire weekend and are led by student staff members and alumni in various team-building and learning experiences designed to get them out of their comfort zones and into the role of a leader. Students learn the value of service and putting others before themselves.

Putting on this quality event costs thousands of dollars each year. Delegates are charged a fee to attend, but our workshop staff and SCA still work hard to fundraise throughout the year to offset the cost. This is where YOU come in! Please consider making a contribution to our workshop program this year.

Individuals and business who contribute will be included in our workshop handbook and will get a shout-out on our social media pages based on the level of sponsorship contribution.
