Military Month

Military Month is all about showing respect to all of those who have served and are still serving in the Military. We celebrate the month of the military child by wearing purple on a selected day in April every year. The colors of each of the military branches ( Marine red, Navy blue, Coast Guard blue, Army green, and Air Force blue) all make up the color of purple. Now I will tell you about what all of the branches in the military do. The Air Force flies in the air protecting any planes from damage. The most important plane that they protect is the President's plane, Air Force One. The Coast Guard's responsibility is to protect people who are near the coast and to protect them from hurricanes and tsunamis. The Army's responsibility is to protect our citizens in the United States of America and dig up defensive infantry. The Navy's responsibility is to work on ships such as destroyers, battleships, and aircraft carriers, cruisers, transports and to deploy on those ships to protect our country from getting invaded by people traveling on the water. Finally the Marine Corp's job is to work on U.S. Naval ships, protect naval bases, guard embassies, and provide an ever-ready quick strike force to protect U.S. interests all around the world. In my opinion, the Marine Corp is the most effective branch of the military. So remember these things and remember what they mean to folks all around the globe. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE SOLDIERS!!!!!
