What a truly special week it’s been! We had the pleasure of welcoming pupils and adults from Sacro Cuore Ludum School in Italy, and it has been such a joy to see our school filled with the buzz of new friendships, shared laughter, and cultural exchange.
Our visitors joined us on an amazing range of class trips, making the most of everything our incredible city of London has to offer. From museums to landmarks, it’s been a week full of learning, exploring, and making memories.
I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our wonderful staff and pupils, who have gone above and beyond to make our guests feel at home. Your kindness, flexibility, and fantastic hosting skills have been truly inspiring.
Wishing you all a relaxing and well-deserved weekend!
The Year 1 chidren got their hands dirty repotting their tomato plants with a little help from Mr. Dave. First, they carefully took the plants out of their old pots, then filled new pots with fresh soil. Next, they gently placed the tomato plants into their new homes and added more soil around the roots. Finally, they gave their plants a good watering. It was a fun and messy way to learn about how plants grow and how to take care of them. We can’t wait to see their tomato plants thrive!
Our students have had a fantastic time this term exploring new skills and building confidence across a range of subjects!
In Maths, they've been diving into the world of position and direction, using CubeLink blocks to make their learning hands-on and fun. Through interactive activities, they’ve been mastering key vocabulary like left, right, forwards, and clockwise—skills that build the foundation for spatial awareness and logical thinking.
In our Enterprise project, creativity and collaboration took center stage as students became young entrepreneurs, learning how to make and teach others to create beautiful bracelets and loom bands. This project not only developed their fine motor skills but also encouraged leadership, communication, and teamwork.
Meanwhile, Literacy came to life as students brought the story Last Stop on Market Street off the page and onto the ‘stage.’ Through lively reenactments, they explored characters’ feelings and perspectives, deepening their understanding of the text and developing empathy and expressive language skills.
It’s been wonderful to see our students learning with such enthusiasm and growing in confidence every day. Well done to all!
Year 3 had an exciting and memorable week, packed with fantastic experiences outside the classroom! On Tuesday, they took part in a thrilling Sports Day at Brixton Recreation Centre, where a group from Year 3 came first out of 21 participating groups — an amazing achievement we’re all incredibly proud of!
Later in the week, the children enjoyed a special trip to the Tower of London to celebrate the Superbloom. They were captivated by the historic surroundings and especially enjoyed learning how the famous Ravens are cared for, thanks to the fascinating insights shared by the Beefeaters.
Both trips were a huge success, offering our pupils the perfect blend of physical activity, teamwork, and historical discovery. Well done, Year 3!
During our Design and Technology (DT) lessons, Year 4 had a wonderful time making eggless cupcakes with a variety of delicious buttercream flavours including Oreo, vanilla, and chocolate. They carefully followed the recipe and took turns weighing out the ingredients for both the cupcakes and the buttercream.
As part of our Eid Enterprise class contribution we combined the idea of making cupcakes from our DT lesson with the Eid Enterprise. We decided to make many more eggless cupcakes so we could sell them in order to raise money for our school. The children enjoyed every step of the process from placing the mixture into cupcake tins to decorating their cupcakes with their chosen buttercream flavours. They also had the exciting opportunity to taste-test their creations before they were sold.
It was a fun and rewarding experience that combined learning with creativity and teamwork!
This week, the girls in Year 6 were given the amazing opportunity to take part in a Girls Allowed multi-sports taster session at Henry Fawcett Primary School.
The girls took part in a range of activities that helped them to develop teamwork, resilience, confidence and communication.
While we were there, the girls had the chance to meet other Year 6 girls from neighbourhood schools, helping to make connections before moving on to Year 7.
We are thrilled to announce that one of our Year 6 pupils was selected as the winner in a nationwide competition where children were invited to design a t-shirt for all Soccer Aid mascots to wear. Her bold, vibrant design beautifully conveys the important message of how UNICEF supports children worldwide.
As the winner, she received a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a Soccer Aid child mascot, leading the entire group of mascots onto the pitch before the stars took to the field. Each mascot proudly wore the specially made t-shirts adorned with her striking and eye-catching artwork, making the moment truly unforgettable.
Congratulations on this incredible achievement!
We’re excited to invite all families and friends to our Summer Sizzler on Wednesday 16th July from 3:30pm. Come along for an afternoon of fun, food, and community spirit!

We’re also welcoming donations or contributions for the event—please drop anything you'd like to offer at the school office.
We can’t wait to see you there!
The 'WakeUpWednesday' guides empower and equip parents, carers and educators with the confidence and practical skills to be able to have informed and age-appropriate conversations with children about online safety, mental health and well-being, and climate change.
Each week we will post a relevant guide to support our school community's knowledge and understanding of how to keep safe online and new things to be aware of.
This week is a online safety focus on 'AI'. Please click on the PDF to enlarge it.

School Attendance Matters
Every school day counts — even a few days off can lead to lost learning time. This is the time of year when many families may be planning trips out of London or abroad, so please remember to check the school term dates before making any bookings.
Important Reminder:
Parents may be fined £80 for taking children out of school during term time, including days just before or after the school holidays.
Let’s work together to support your child’s learning by keeping attendance strong and consistent!
