Important Attendance and Punctuality information

Consistent attendance helps ensure that pupils keep up with the curriculum and stay on track with their peers.  It also allows children to build and maintain friendships, develop social skills, and participate in group activities

Please be reminded of the following:

Register Times:

• Soft start from 8:45 AM

• The school day starts at 8:50 AM.

• The attendance register closes at 9:20 AM.

Marking Late Arrivals:

• Arriving by 9:20 AM: If your child arrives between 9:00 AM and 9:20 AM, they will be marked as late (Code L).

• Arriving after 9:20 AM: If your child arrives after 9:20 AM, they will be marked with an unauthorised absence for that session (Code U). 10 sessions (5 days) of Unauthorised absence during a rolling 10 week period could lead to a fixed penalty notice of £80 if paid within 21 days or £160 if paid within 28 days.

Occasional lateness can be unavoidable, but regular punctuality is crucial for your child’s learning and development.  We encourage you to make every effort for your child to attend school by 8:50 AM  daily.
