#WakeUpWednesday - Cyber Resilience
...+ our regularly updated Diary Dates, Term Dates, our weekly Headteacher Awards and TT Rockstars.
This week, we proudly participated in Anti-Bullying Week 2024, with the theme "Choose Respect." Throughout the week, pupils engaged in various activities aimed at promoting kindness and inclusion. One of the highlights was Odd Socks Day, where children wore mismatched socks to celebrate individuality and stand against bullying. It was a wonderful week of learning, reflection, and community building.
As we prepare for our Winter Market, we are reaching out to kindly ask for your support through donations of new or gently used items. Your contributions will help create a festive and enjoyable experience for all.
We are looking for items such as toys, games, toiletries, winter accessories, sweet treats and any other items for our tombola and raffle prizes. If you are able to donate any of these items, please drop them off at the school office by 29th November 2024.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
The 'WakeUpWednesday' guides empower and equip parents, carers and educators with the confidence and practical skills to be able to have informed and age-appropriate conversations with children about online safety, mental health and well-being, and climate change.
Each week we will post a relevant guide to support our school community's knowledge and understanding of how to keep safe online and new things to be aware of.
This week is a online safety focus on 'Cyber Resilience'. Please click on the PDF to enlarge it.
A huge congratulations to the pupils who earned the Rights Respecting Award this week! Your dedication to respecting and upholding everyone's rights truly shines. Keep up the fantastic work.
Let’s give a big round of applause to this week’s 'Going for Gold' stars! It’s so exciting to see our Wall of Fame fill up with your achievements. Well done to everyone who reached Gold this week—keep up the amazing work!
A huge congratulations to our Times Table Rock Stars for their outstanding achievements! We are thrilled to recognise our Most Valuable Players (MVPs) for their dedication and hard work. Their enthusiasm and effort in mastering their times tables is truly inspiring. Keep rocking those numbers!
Remember to encourage your child to practice every day for at least 5 minutes.
Introducing Studybugs!
We have introduced a new, more efficient and secure system for reporting your child’s absence due to illness, called Studybugs.
If you haven’t already, please get the free Studybugs app for reporting absence.
Here's what some parents who have signed up had to say:
"Saves so much time. I've used it already, without having to wait on hold or write a note!"
"The app is straightforward and user-friendly, even for someone like me who’s not very tech-savvy!"
"I really like it, it's a good thing"
In response to your feedback and to better support working patterns, Breakfast Club now starts at 8:00 AM. This earlier start aims to help with morning routines while promoting better attendance and punctuality. Thank you for your continued input!
