...+ our regularly updated Diary Dates, Term Dates, our weekly Headteacher Awards and TT Rockstars.
Vauxhall Primary School recently hosted an inspiring series of workshops, created in partnership with Octavia House—experts in education and therapeutic support for young people—and The Black Prince Trust. These workshops united our school community, giving pupils a platform to share ideas, collaborate, and design a space that truly reflects their interests and diverse cultural backgrounds. The result is a 50 meter mural located in Bromfield Playground - just a short stroll from the school gates.
We warmly invite you to come see the artwork firsthand, celebrating our students' creativity and passion up close. Don’t miss this wonderful showcase of their unique voices and vibrant expressions!
Children enjoyed their piano and violin lessons this week, and we're looking forward to their upcoming public performances!
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair! Join us from Monday 11th November to Wednesday 13th November —open each morning from 8:20 AM and after school at 3:20 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading and support our school. There will be books for all ages, so come find something special for your young reader!
Year 5 students are raising funds for school trips with a cozy treat! Visit their 'Warm Hearts' hot chocolate stall after school, on Friday 15th November, where they'll be selling delicious hot chocolate to warm you up and support a great cause.
The 'WakeUpWednesday' guides empower and equip parents, carers and educators with the confidence and practical skills to be able to have informed and age-appropriate conversations with children about online safety, mental health and well-being, and climate change.
Each week we will post a relevant guide to support our school community's knowledge and understanding of how to keep safe online and new things to be aware of.
This week is an well-being focus on 'Choose Respect'. Please click on the PDF to enlarge it.
A huge congratulations to the pupils who earned the Rights Respecting Award this week! Your dedication to respecting and upholding everyone's rights truly shines. Keep up the fantastic work.
Let’s give a big round of applause to this week’s 'Going for Gold' stars! It’s so exciting to see our Wall of Fame fill up with your achievements. Well done to everyone who reached Gold this week—keep up the amazing work!
Congratulations to this week's Times Tables Rockstar champion! Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and you've shown amazing mastery of your multiplication skills. Keep up the great work, and continue to rock those times tables!
Remember to encourage your child to practice every day for at least 5 minutes.
Why attendance is important
If your child has 90% attendance, you may think this is quite good. However this means that your child is absent from school for the equivalent of one half day a week.
Over the whole school year your child would miss four weeks of lessons . Your child would also spend more time away from school over the year than in school!
If your child's attendance for his whole time at school was 90% they would have missed 209 days of school, that's a whole school year!
Whole school: 93.99%
School attendance reached 93.99% this week! This steady result reflects your commitment to prioritising attendance. Although there was a small dip, likely due to seasonal winter bugs, we appreciate everyone’s efforts to keep attendance steady. Thank you for helping make this possible!
