Staying Safe Online

WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ONLINE BULLYING.pdf

E-Safety is an important part of keeping children safe at Vauxhall Primary School.  E-Safety is taught as a unit of ICT and E-safety rules are given at the start of every ICT lesson. We also celebrate E-safety day once a year.

We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure the E-Safety message is consistent. It is important that parents speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.

This week the online safety focus is 'Online Bullying'. Please click on the 'pop out' arrow in the top right to enlarge the PDF.

Article 16 (right to privacy) Every child has the right to privacy. The law should protect the child’s private, family and home life, including protecting children from unlawful attacks that harm their reputation.

Pizza Express

On Wednesday 9th November, Year 6 Visited Pizza Express, Millbank. They learnt about cooking pizzas and had loads of fun along the way.

Everyone had the chance to knead the dough, making it lovely and smooth, and created the perfect base. They then discovered just how important the fresh ingredients are to the pizza’s flavour.

Year 6 were then able to take their pizzas back to school and enjoyed them!

The Tower of London

"I really enjoyed reading the history behind the different towers, it was very interesting"

On the 6th November 2023, Year 5 went on a trip to the Tower of London. The children were able to explore the historical site, visiting the different towers and exhibitions, including the Crown Jewels and Bloody Tower. In addition, Year 5 also took part in a small roleplay workshop, where they helped one of the Tower of London 'prisoners' plan an escape, whilst learning about some of the most famous prisoners the Tower has held.
