PGL - Residential
We waved a very excited Year 5 and Year 6 and their equally excited accompanying adults off to Windmill Hill activity Center in East sussex.
They will spend 3 nights enjoying the wide range of activities, taking part in team building challenges and creating lifelong memories.
Thank you to all the parents, friends and family members who came to wave them off (and help with the luggage!). Watch this space in next week's edition for photos and feedback from the pupils.
EYSF - 'Outstanding'
It is always such a pleasure when I get a visit from the children to share the work that they have completed and are so proud of. This week I was treated to some fantastic writing from our Nursery pupils. With the continued hard work from the children and the adults we continue to be an 'Outstanding' EYFS! Click here to read what the Ofsted inspectors said about our setting.
Year 6 - SATs Week
We wish all our Year 6 pupils a well earned restful weekend after all their efforts to during SATs week. Leading up to the week, they attended early morning booster classes, completed extra homework and tried their best! We are so proud of all of their efforts and the mature way they approached the challenges.
As we mentioned last week...

Article 29 (goals of education) Education must develop every child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full.
Our school is taking part in Walk to School Week (20-24 May). This year’s challenge, The Magic of Walking, encourages children to travel actively to school every day of the week. Meeting various magical beings along the way, they'll learn about the important reasons to walk and the difference it can make for individuals, communities and the planet!
Each pupil will be challenged to travel sustainably (walk, wheel, scoot, cycle or Park and Stride) to school every day for one week using the wallchart and stickers to log their journeys. Each class will work collectively to make as many active journeys to school as possible across the week.
Individual activity diaries, daily stickers and end of week pupil rewards will complement this activity, reinforcing the benefits and keeping children engaged.
We would ask, if possible, to make arrangements so that your child/children can travel actively to school on week commencing 20th May, helping our school reduce congestion and pollution around the school gates. Walking, wheeling, scooting and cycling all count! If you live far away from school and need to drive or take public transport, try parking the car or hopping off the bus/train ten minutes away and walking the rest of the journey.
As part of our online safety offer, each week we will post a relevant guide to support our school community's knowledge and understanding of how to keep safe online and new things to be aware of.
This week the online safety focus is information about the gaming platform 'Roblox'. Please click on the PDF to enlarge it.
