Dear Parents and Carers,
As we reach the end of another incredible year at Vauxhall, we want to say a heartfelt thank you for your continued support. This year has been truly inspiring—filled with achievement, collaboration, and a powerful sense of community spirit.
After 25 wonderful years at Vauxhall Primary, Miss Tracy has retired. A true part of the school’s fabric, Miss Tracy attended Vauxhall as a child herself, and later, her children and grandchildren walked the same halls. She is a much-loved and respected member of our community, with incredible stories to share about the school’s rich history.
As a heartfelt parting gift, Miss Tracy presented the school with a very special piece of its past, Vauxhall’s 100-year-old school bell (pictured), which she personally rescued and restored. In a touching farewell, she rang the bell one last time to share her good wishes with us all.
Although she is retiring, this isn’t goodbye, you’ll still see Miss Tracy around, as she’s promised to continue supporting our school events.
On behalf of all the pupils, parents, and staff at Vauxhall, we thank Miss Tracy for everything and wish her all the very best in this next chapter.

Goodbye, Class of 2025
To our amazing Year 6 pupils, congratulations on all you've achieved! We’re so proud of you and will miss your energy, laughter, and contributions to school life.
Though you're heading off to new adventures, Vauxhall will always be your school. You are always welcome here, whether it’s popping back to say hello or joining us at social events in the future. Once part of Vauxhall school , always part of the school.
Wishing you all happiness, success, and endless opportunities as you begin this next chapter. You’ve got this!
With pride and warmest wishes.
Whatever your plans this summer, we hope you find time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 2nd September 2025 for another exciting year ahead.
Have a wonderful summer!
EYFS had a fun and exciting adventure at the Vauxhall Estate, Glasshouse Play Area. This was a treat for us as we’ve worked so hard over the course of the year.
As part of Year 1's Geography topic on the local area, the children went on an exciting walk to explore the human and physical features around them. During their journey, we identified key landmarks such as the train station, local park, river, and nearby offices.
The children also engaged their senses to observe their surroundings. They took time to reflect on what they could see, hear, and feel, helping them build a deeper connection to their environment.
🎉 A Huge Well Done to Year 2! 🌟
As the school year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say a huge congratulations to all of our amazing Year 2 children for their fantastic achievements this year.
From the very start, Year 2 have shown what it means to work hard, try their best, and support one another. We’ve seen so much growth—not only in academic skills like reading, writing and maths—but also in confidence, independence, and kindness towards each other.
They’ve embraced every challenge, from exciting school visits and special events to classroom projects and new friendships. Whether it’s been learning something tricky, showing resilience, or stepping out of their comfort zone, each and every child has pushed themselves to be the very best they can be.
We are so proud of what they’ve achieved and how much they’ve matured this year.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Year 2 staff team for their dedication, patience and care—and to all of our wonderful parents and carers for your continued support, encouragement and partnership throughout the year.
Wishing all of Year 2 a happy, restful and active summer holiday—you’ve earned it!
— The Year 2 Team 💛
What a Wonderful Week for Year 3!
Year 3 had a truly memorable week! We were delighted to welcome a special visitor—Ms Edwin and her beautiful baby. The children were thrilled to meet the little one, who greeted them all with plenty of cheerful smiles.
In addition to this lovely visit, the class also took part in the final sprint events for Sports Day. Everyone showed great enthusiasm and team spirit. Well done, Year 3—we’re proud of you!
Year 4 had a great experience in our Youth Kitchen cooking workshop by Itsu. The workshop kicked off with fun, game-based discussions to explore what "healthier" means, the importance of the 5 Food Groups, where vegetables come from, and how vitamins and minerals benefit our bodies.
All the children received their own cookbooklet and a kitbag filled with fresh ingredients to make our first recipe: Super Power Noodles. Working together, the children learnt to peel, chop, grate, and spiralise a colourful mix of vegetables, preparing delicious meals to take home and share.
The session celebrated creativity and skill with the Apron Awards, recognising three standout children for their precision, use of colour, and chef-level techniques; our three winners were Bilal, Royal and Finley. Well done to them for their amazing creativity and skills. The workshop wrapped up with a high-energy classroom "takeover" race, transforming our classroom space back into a learning zone. Children even had the opportunity to take more seaweed thins to take home. The children did amazingly and we hope they continue this healthy eating at home.
Year 4 and 5 took part in Create Day 2025, a nationwide online event involving dance, singing, and design, with participation from many schools across the UK. This creative celebration is centred around the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, focusing on key rights including Article 8 (Identity), Article 12 (Respect for Children’s Views), Article 13 (Sharing Thoughts Freely), Article 29 (Education), and Article 31 (Rest, Play, Culture, and the Arts). As part of the event, pupils explored elements of the Create Day dance, inspired by Crystal Pite’s ‘Covenant’, while they developed important performance skills such as focus, breath work, and projection. They also learnt Ayanna Witter-Johnson’s song ‘The Hope’, including the accompanying actions, and designed a prop that featured in their final performance. Create Day 2025 offers a wonderful opportunity for children to express themselves creatively, connect with others, and celebrate their rights through the arts. Year 4 and 5 enjoyed this very much!

Stay Active Over the Summer!
With the summer holidays ahead, we’d love to encourage all families to keep active and make the most of the longer days. Whether it’s heading to the local park, playing a game of cricket or football, going for a run, or simply enjoying a bike ride—there are so many fun ways to stay sporty and healthy.
Thank you to all the students who took part in sports this year, and to the families who cheered them on. We can’t wait to see even more of you getting involved next year!
