The Library of the University of Vavuniya plays a vital role in enhancing the staff and students’ teaching, learning, and research experience, providing them with all the information they need to improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities. The Library was established in 1992 with the inauguration of Northern Province Affiliated University College. The University Library serves all three faculties: the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Business Studies and Faculty of Technological Studies.
The online library catalogue, called OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), allows you to search the holdings of Library. The catalogue contains all print materials. Document Supply Service (DSS) is a facility offered for the 17 State universities, by the Consortium of Sri Lankan Academic Libraries (CONSAL) which is funded by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.
