Students will be able to
- Use Project Management tools to document system planning, purchasing, risk and project tracking.
- Design and develop an electronically-enhanced medication dispenser using user-centered design.
- Engage with team members to collaboratively design and develop the final product.
- Locate, analyze, and make sense of learning resources. (Because technology changes, computer scientists must be life-long learners.)
- Tailor presentations to specific audience.
- Develop and deploy a test plan.
- Evaluate and compare trade-offs from alternate design possibilities.
- Understand the concept of unsafe software and hardware and be able to conduct a risk analysis.
- Use the laser cutter and or 3D printer to fabricate their team's medication dispenser's housing.
- Design, wire, and program a micro-controller.
