Your Chautauqua Support Team is available to families, students and staff. We support the learning goals of CES, including social-emotional learning. All students can benefit from practice on the emerging skills of getting along with others, problem solving, empathy, emotional management and other self-management skills. We prioritize developing relationships and helping students discover their strengths.
All students have access to the support team to help them address daily situations that arise. Every classroom has regular Second Step Lesson (Committee for Children) to promote social skill development. Parents/Guardians can request time with us to consider students' needs and supports. These are "Tier 1" supports.
Groups, check-in systems and other interventions are made available to some students who are identified as benefitting from additional skill development and to some of their peers for socialization/as models. You will always be called for permission if your child is to be offered "Tier 2" supports. Please let us know if you have questions!

Su equipo de apoyo de Chautauqua está disponible para familias, estudiantes y personal. Apoyamos los objetivos de aprendizaje de CES, incluyendo el aprendizaje social-emocional. Todos los estudiantes pueden beneficiarse de la práctica en las habilidades emergentes de estar junto con otros, la resolución de problemas, la empatía, la gestión emocional y otras habilidades de autogestión. The community care team is the volunteer counseling and behavioral health unit of Vashon Public Health Medical Reserve Corps, which is charged with responding to increased medical and mental health needs during a public health disaster or emergency such as the Covid-19 pandemic. the staff consists of volunteers mental health therapists and spiritual careproviders at the ready to offer support.
El equipo de atención comunitaria es la unidad de asesoramiento voluntario y salud conductual del Cuerpo de Reserva Médica de Salud Pública de Vashon, que se encarga de responder al aumento de las necesidades médicas y de salud mental durante un desastre o emergencia de salud pública, como la pandemia de Covid-19. El personal está formado por terapeutas voluntarios de salud mental y proveedores de cuidado espiritual listos para ofrecer apoyo.
