Skyview Tennis is about loving the game of tennis whether you are a rockstar or someone who has never touched a racquet who just wants to be able to get a tan, hit some balls, and enjoy playing with friends. Because we love the game, we believe that more is better. Our USTA-registered program is proudly no-cut, meaning if you want to play, regardless of your experience, you have a spot on our team. And we'll do everything we can to give you both practice time and matches. Thirty years from now, we want you to come back and tell us that you're still playing tennis--beating your boss, playing with your kids, or perhaps coaching a team.

Academics are 'job one'

Skyview Tennis is about respecting and valuing what you do in the classroom. Every season, we earn the highest recognition from WIAA for our scholar-athletes and in 2006 and 2010 won the Boys Academic State Award. That means our varsity had the best GPA in all of the state among 4A teams. Our players are smart. Both on the court and off. And if a big test means you need to leave practice a little early, we'll find a way to make it work.

Excellence is a team effort and more than just winning which we do!

Skyview Tennis is about working together for success. For the past many seasons, we have won many league, district, and state championships. 10  State Championships in fact which is more than any other program in Southwest Washington. This means everyone played a role in our success, not just one or two players.

Again, a whole team effort led to every team having winning records each year.  Our teams have also been the largest in SW Washington. Every player on varsity, JV, or C Squad is essential to our overall program. We honestly take as much pride in the last player on our team as we do the 1st player. Because both players are evidence of a quality program.

We're willing to share

Skyview Tennis is the greatest sport on earth, but we welcome multi-sport athletes and proudly feature successful three-sport athletes. We get both wonderful varsity walk-ons and enthusiastic casual players, even as seniors. It's never too late to try tennis.

Tennis is more than spin

Skyview Tennis is about learning life lessons on and off the court. We stand for good sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, kindness, and competing hard and fairly. Most of us will not earn a living at tennis, but we can all learn about living from tennis. We have fantastic kids whether or not they're winning their matches.

Tennis should be fun

Skyview Tennis is about having fun whether you're playing in the district final or practicing with your teammates. Having fun is the most important part! We work hard and have high expectations, but we'll also make sure that you're enjoying the fantastic experience of high school tennis.

Good guys and girls finish first

Skyview Tennis is about being first. On the court. In the classroom. As people! In SW Washington. We care about winning, but also believe the journey is at least as important as the destination sometimes more important!

Success is in our effort, not the outcome!

Skyview tennis is defined by the successes that come far beyond outcomes. Success is in the things we can control daily which are: who we are, how hard we work, how we treat people, how we overcome adversity, how coachable we are, and how we always give 110%  every single day. It's about getting 1% better each day as tennis players, coaches, and most importantly, as people!
