ASB(Associated Student Body): ASB is our elected governing student leaders at Skyview High School. ASB approves budget items for ASB related expenses, as well as planning school activities including homecoming activities, spirit weeks, dances, student chest drive and many more. ASB students should represent Skyview students and their interests in our school!
Robotics/Storm Bots: The Skyview StormBots is FIRST Robotics Competition Team 2811. The team was created to encourage and inspire the youth of our community to become the scientific and technical leaders and problems solvers of tomorrow. We accomplish this through structured competitions and community service projects, guided by mentors from industry, educators, parent volunteers and local businesses. Through our many projects we develop the self-confidence, communication, organization, and teamwork skills that will enable us to become the problem solving leaders the future needs. NHS (National Honor Society): The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States, which consists of many chapters in high schools. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character However, you must be a sophomore or older to be a member; something for Freshmen to consider once they've completed one year of high school.
Theater/Drama: "Skyview Drama Club is a community of actors, musicians, designers, and technicians who are dedicated to producing live theatre for the Skyview community. Drama Club is open to all Skyview students who are interested in acting in plays and musicals, designing sets and costumes, or operating lights and sound. Theater Tech Club: The SHS Technical Theater Club is a partner club to SHS Drama. This yearlong club explores all aspects of lights, sound, set construction, costumes, and more, in an effort to join the artistic and the technical. From learning how to properly set up sound-equipment to running a production from backstage as a stage manager, while building a close-knit community in the process.
Theatre Tech Club meets Thursdays 3-4 (right after drama club), and Fridays 2:15-3:15, via Zoom.

Choir: Skyview Choirs is a great program where you can learn to sing, make new friends, and develop life skills. We work on developing the voice, learning about music from around the world, and career training. Colleges are looking for students with strong backgrounds in the arts and choir is a great place to earn four years of arts credits that will make your high school transcript glow. Please join choir! Since choir is an academic subject at Skyview, our meeting times are during the school day. We have a variety of choirs throughout the day so we can find the one that is right for you and your schedule.

Math Team
The math team is for students who have an interest in math, logic, independent learning, competition and teamwork. All students of all math levels are welcome!
The goal of the Math Team is to successfully compete in mathematics, create an enthusiasm among students around mathematics, and promote the unique, creative problem solving aspects of the discipline. Come learn cool math tricks and math concepts that you’d probably never see in high school math classes.
Knowledge Bowl
Knowledge Bowl is a squad of students who love to learn. We meet on Wednesdays from 11:30-noon (email Mr. Brands at bob.brands@vansd.org for a Zoom invitation) and all students are welcome. We answer questions on a wide variety of topics including literature, science, math, geography, history and grammar. This is a team game similar to Jeopardy, but we give our answers definitively, not as a question and you never have to answer a question individually as teams are give 15 seconds to consult with each other before answering a question. Come join the fun and get even smarter.
Debate/Forensics
The Skyview Speech and Debate Team is a group of committed and hard-working students who build their speaking, debating, researching, and acting skills in order to compete in tournaments around the region and state. If you are a student with an open mind and competitive spirit, our team may be for you!
We meet every Thursday from 2:30-4:30pm over Zoom. Meetings will begin in October. Team members must pay their ASB and Club fees, as well as maintain attendance and GPA standards per WIAA regulations. Please email Ms. Annis with more questions at Erin.Annis@vansd.org
Red Cross

Key Club
Key Club is an international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to participate in service projects, build character and develop leadership. Compassion for others is a cornerstone of the Key Club experience, inspiring action and service to one’s community. The purpose of Key Club is offering service to those in need, with integrity and kindness, while building relationships with local service organizations. We welcome all students to join in Key Club to help make a positive difference in our world.
