About Mr Denton
I have been teaching choir in Vancouver for 19 years. I have a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Kansas, and a Masters of Music Education from Central Washington University.
In addition to directing choirs at Skyview and Alki, I am the Artistic Director of the Vancouer Master Chorale, and I am a member of Chor Anno, winner of the 2025 American Prize for Best Community Choir.
In April 2024 I directed the Skyview Chamber Choir in Anaheim, CA where we won Gold at the Heritage Music Festival, and along with Skyview Band and Orcehstra, won Best Music Department.
My hobbies include cooking, knitting, and reading. I like cooking exotic and spicy foods, knitting sweaters, and reading fiction and non-fiction.
My favorite book: Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov
