Each fall, a small group of juniors and seniors enroll in the Leadership/Peer Mentorship elective course at Skyview. While they complete a wide variety of projects, assignments, and gain personal and professional skills, BOLT is -- without a doubt -- their most important and culminating project.

Throughout the year, this team of young go-getters:

• Develops project management, public speaking, marketing, organization, planning skills
• Mentors small group of incoming freshmen all year
• Plans school/community improvement campaigns:
  • All facets of the BOLT event
  • School improvement projects
  • Service efforts (organize volunteer events, etc.)
  • Youth Suicide Prevention
  • Morale-boosting activities that support Skyview High School culture
• Helps build a family culture in class
• WORKS ON THEMSELVES!

While all students come from very diverse backgrounds, and have varying interests and passions, Leadership class has transformed them into a close-knit and supportive "family" of peers.
