Leadership/Volunteer Opportunities

(Zoom meetings are in place for these events)

  • The Southwest Family, Youth, System Partner Roundtable is a community-based group of youth, families, community members, and system partners that meet monthly to address challenges, barriers, and successes in the behavioral health system in Clark, Skamania, and Klickitat Counties. Youth and family members have an equal voice at the table. Our regional FYSPRT has a direct line of communication to state leaders through Statewide FYSPRT meetings. YOU HAVE A VOICE AND WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Youth participants will receive a gift card for attending.

(Email Ms. Chvonne if interested I will send you the agenda with times and dates)

  • Youth Commission: Members provide a youth-oriented point-of-view to the work of the Clark County Councilors, county departments, and community organizations. The Youth Commission informs these groups about issues important to youth, makes suggestions on how to address these issues, and provides advice on how to build positive partnerships with youth.

  • STASHA PEERS: is a nonjudgmental group made up of youth ages 12-19. We work to prevent substance abuse among our peers and within our community using our own words and in our own way. We seek to represent the diverse geographic regions and populations of the county. We are a group comprised of youth who have never used drugs and alcohol, youth with past experimentation/use, and youth who have completed treatment and are now in recovery. By seeking out youth with different backgrounds, we gain a stronger understanding of how we can prevent substance use, and learn how to better teach and share healthier coping skills with other people our age.
