Congratulations to our Vanguard Academy parents who participated in workshops and graduated from the program P.A.S.O.S. on January 11, 2020. We are so proud of their growth, dedication, and accomplishments. This program has greatly empowered our parents to create a bridge of communication between home and school.
CENSUS AMBASSADORS
CENSUS AMBASSADORS
Vanguard District parents had the opportunity to become CENSUS Parent Ambassadors to facilitate with the 2020 CENSUS completion. Parents participated in workshops, to an oath, and were also invited to the 2020 State of the City Luncheon.
Family Literacy Nights
Family Literacy Nights
Parents had the opportunity to engage and acquire hands on reading activities to continue fostering it at home. Students were also provided with free books and parents also had the opportunity to connect with local community partners and colleges.
MHP Salud Nutritional Classes
MHP Salud Nutritional Classes
Parents participated in Nutritional classes in partnership with MHP Salud to enrich awareness and promote healthy eating habits at home and college life.
GEAR UP Kick Off
GEAR UP Kick Off
Students showcased the opportunities offered at our district as well as the support the GEAR UP program offers. Parents deepen their understanding of the benefits of GEAR UP program and its purpose.
