Beginning Band 

Welcome to the first step of being a band member!  Since COVID turned out world upside down- I've taken instrument selection online! Thanks to the New Haven Symphony Orchestra- it is super easy and FUN to pick out your band instrument! 

When you are ready, simply click the instrument selection link.  This will take you through a process of hearing instruments, learning about each instrument, and carefully making your selection!  This process will take at least an hour (you don't have to do it all at once) so make time for parent and student to sit down and go through this site together!  Remember- this is all information I would have come around to the classrooms and shared over several weeks.  (Plus-it is fun!  I really enjoyed going through the steps myself, and parents I think you will too!)

Please fill out the Instrument Preference and Taste Test forms when you are done.  Ms. Mo will get your responses!.

We will also have our Beginning Band Night in the VJHS Cafeteria on Thursday, August 31st!  You can try instruments, set up your rental, and meet Ms. Moloney!  We will have current band parents to tell you more about the band program and what you need to get started!

Look for a letter and information from Ms. Mo to come home with your classroom teacher soon!
