What does a counselor do?

  • Counsels individually with children

  • Teaches guidance lessons in the classroom (character education)

  • Conducts small group counseling (social skill groups, peer relations, etc.)

  • Consults with parents in private conferences about their child

  • Collaborates with teachers

  • Provides information on community resources for families


In Individual and/or group counseling, I …
