I am excited to VAMS Panther and to be starting my 18th year in education!

I graduated from Allen High School, then Stephen F. Austin State University with my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with Special Education. Later, I received my Masters of Education in School Counseling from Lamar University. Serving students is my passion, and my heart lies in helping each student achieve their goals, whether they be academic, social, or emotional.

The School Counselor is seen as an encourager and advocate on campus for all students. My role is to help guide students on their path through middle school by assisting them in maximizing their social, emotional, and academic success. As their school counselor, I can assist students with things such as social or emotional needs, family changes, peer relations, and developing essential life skills. The School Counselor also intervenes on behalf of students whose immediate personal concerns, or struggles, put their education at risk. Students may be referred by a parent, teacher, administrator, or request support themselves.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, drinking coffee, exploring new places, playing with my goldendoodle Stella, traveling, going to concerts, or just living life to the fullest.

I pride myself in supporting students and families and helping each child learn the skills needed to overcome challenges and live their happiest and most fulfilling life. My door is always open, so if there is anything I can do, please reach out!
