ARC Reading Bag
Starting Monday, September 12, our students will begin bringing home a blue ARC “Book Bag” that go home each night. These book bags contain (very well loved) leveled books that are targeted towards your student’s reading level.
We ask that you use the reading logs in the accompanied blue reading folder to record your child's reading steps nightly and return with your child's book bag daily. Each 15 minutes of reading counts as 1 step. Our goal is to have students read 30 minutes at home nightly (2 steps).
EX: If the student reads four books in a 15-minute time period you would only record the title of one of the books for 1 step.
Please sign and return the parent contract if you haven't already done so.
Feel free to contact your child's teacher with any questions
