CDI Mission Statement: The mission of CDI is to help young men and women gain integrity, increase academic skills and improve life skills especially social emotional and self confidence which are essential to becoming an educated, philanthropic, 21st century, law-abiding

citizen.

CDI Vision: The vision of CDI aims to promote students to develop lifelong skills to be intellectually and personally successful.   Students will demonstrate a desire to help the community and to be self-motivated in making sound academic and life decisions.  Therefore, the small learning community model will be used to foster a collaborative vision that will promote academic success for all students.  

CDI Civility Statement:

“I am helpful and I am tolerant. I am respectful to myself, my peers, my parents and my community.  I am actively engaged in learning. I will not hinder the learning process for myself or my peers. I am a 21st century student at work!”

Many public schools struggle to engage the youth for 21st Century preparedness.  In fact, post Pandemic, 62% of high school graduates have not met the minimum requirements to apply for college.

Our nonprofit organization Civility Development Inc. has created a three-fold educational curriculum for Long Beach and the Greater Los Angeles Community.   

Serving ages 6-14 years olds - CDI supports students struggling to engage, withdrawing from academic settings, working to balance social emotional health and feeling disconnected from peers. 

CDI offers Safety, Efficacy, Empowerment, Differentiation and Strategies (SEEDS).   

CDI intends to plant seeds in the community to help students achieve high academic performance and emerge as self-sufficient, college-ready adults.

CDI earnestly believe it takes a village to educate a child and we will rise to the occasion and support and supplement the public educational curriculum.  

CDI anticipates great collaboration with community programs aimed at supporting students that benefit from extra academic and community support.
