After-school programs:
What do we offer at Tomas Rivera?
Because we offer so many opportunities for students to engage in hands-on activities, you may be wondering which one is best for you and your child. We offer two different types of programs: ELO-Platinum and ELO-P Academies. On this page, we will go over the differences in programs in hopes of making the decision-making process a smooth one.
ELO-Platinum & ELO-P Academies
ELO-Platinum is an ASES (After-School Education and Safety) Program and provides funding focusing on homework/literacy support, enrichment, physical activity, and safety. The ASES program is facilitated by Think Together daily from 2:40pm - 6:00pm and from 12:35pm - 6:00pm on minimum days.
ELO-P academies (Expanded Learning Opportunities Program) are funded with a focus on before school, afterschool, and summer enrichment programs by means of partnering with community organizations and school day staff (teachers, tutors, aides, etc.). The goal of ELO-Programs is to prioritize on the student's academic, social, emotional, and physical needs. Program schedules vary from once to twice a week for a maximum of two hours.
Some of the community organizations we partner with are the following:
POW Athletics
LIFT Enrichment
Riverside Art Museum
Lulu's Boite de Bijoux
No matter which program you choose for your child, we are certain they will be provided with a great experience and the opportunity to continue their path to become lifelong learners. Please select your program of interest on the subtabs of this page.
