Greetings!

As the current President of the African American Success Committee, I welcome you to our page. The AASC was established after the LCAP : Local control and accountability plan funding was given to assist with meeting the challenges our African American students in our district. Our mission is simple, and as stated on our page: We are here to serve our students/families/educators through solutions and strategies.

The AASC works in tandem with the Val Verde African American Community Circle by supporting our Val Verde Community through funding projects and events for the enrichment of our students as they matriculate through our district. The AASC is committed to providing a sounding board for the community, move the needle on student achievement, and work towards positive outcomes.
